Ordering

To place and order simply call us directly at (305) 858-4240. You may also order from a retailer near you, however please note that most Retailers do not maintain inventories of Heywood-Wakefield furniture. The prices you see on this website are the same you will see at retail stores, minus shipping charges.

All items requiring upholstery fabric are priced "C.O.M." (Customer's Own Material); this means that the cost of upholstery fabric is not included in the price shown, due to the huge variety of upholstery fabrics available. If you wish to supply your own fabric simply mention this at the time of your order and you will be given instructions on where to send the fabric. Installation of the fabric and final assembly ARE included in the prices shown.

Payment, Lead Times & Delivery

Orders must be pre-paid in full by check, money order or credit card. Orders average 6-8 weeks to process and ship; often we are able to ship much faster, and occasionally, special orders require longer lead-times. When you order, you will be informed how long the item should take. Please remember that our furniture is produced in small quantities, and is essentially hand-built to order. We do our best to avoid delays, but shipping estimates are not guarantees of delivery time.

Cancellation Policy

Orders paid by credit card may be cancelled for MERCHANDISE CREDIT ONLY. Due to restrictions placed on us by Credit Card companies, we cannot refund orders charged to credit cards.

Shipping

Orders are shipped directly to your home, or to the dealer through which you placed your order. We can also ship to a Moving & Storage company near your home for later pick-up, or you may pick up your order directly from the carrier to save residential delivery charges. When your order is shipped, you will be contacted and given the local phone number of the carrier. You will then be able to make specific delivery arrangements with the carrier concerning day and time of delivery.

Shipping Costs

All prices are F.O.B. the factory; shipping charges are not included in the prices listed. Shipping charges are Freight Collect (you pay the delivery driver) and are generally quite reasonable. (You may estimate your shipping charges by following the instructions on our home page.) We receive up to 63% long-haul discount from most carriers and we pass all of this on to our customers.

Shipping Damage

The Heywood-Wakefield Company takes great care to insure that your furniture will arrive un-damaged, including the use of proper packaging and packing methods. However, shipping damage can sometimes occur despite our best efforts.

When an item is picked up at our factory and receipted for in good condition by the driver, it becomes the property of the purchaser. If the item is damaged in shipment THE MANUFACTURER IS NOT LIABLE, and a Damage Claim must be filed directly with the shipping company. However, to minimize inconvenience in those few cases when shipping damage occurs, we have an agreement with the freight lines known as Free Astray. This is an arrangement whereby you are not required to fill out and pursue damage claims. The policy will be explained to you at the time of your order.
