Description: Our best-selling item. This stylish, solid wood bed looks great with all of the vintage Heywood-Wakefield bedroom styles and can be ordered with a special kit that allows it to be used as a platform bed, with no box spring.

The M 530 ships with headboard, footboard, two side rails, a center support rail, adjustable feet and four solid birch slats. The optional Platform Kit contains an extra dozen solid birch slats, for a total of 16 slats. These make a box spring unnecessary (the bed shown here is set up without a box spring).

The M 530 bed has adjustable side rails which can be installed in one of two different positions, one about two inches higher than the other. It is important to note, however, that if you use a box spring and mattress in either position, your bedding may be higher than the footboard - depending on the thickness of your mattress and box spring.

The Platform Kit is $175.00, compared to $350.00 or more for a box spring. So besides looking better, it saves you money.
